Retirement Homes - Esher

This design is based on the integration of three gardens with each flowing into one another. The first is close to the main doors and forms a seating area, with covered pergola and raised beds. This then leads into an inner courtyard with water features and seating points that are all surrounded by fragrant plants. It follows through into the main garden of arbors, archways, covered seating areas and a summerhouse. Totally surrounded by roses and planting to provide all year round interest, this compact, yet effective, use of space will provide occupants and the guests with a specialist garden which they can use and enjoy.

Due to the site constraints, the garden has been restricted to the rear.
Various seating locations around the garden draw the residents from the house into the garden. Features such as wooden sculptures, a dovecot and a water feature help to provide all year round interest. The central feature of a circular pergola with wisterian and clematis growing over it has proved to be most popular with residents.
