Young person's Stimulus Garden

A garden design for the young with specialist needs, covering a wide and diverse range of activities for an even wider range of young people.  The garden is designed with over 65% hard surface for those in wheelchairs, with the remainder of the garden laid out in artificial grass, if needs be, with trees planted in specially designed tree pits, all fully underlit for night time interest.  This allows those children more able to be active unaided to enjoy the simple pleasures of moving around and playing in a simple, eco-friendly woodland.

This garden has been designed with education in mind as much as play, with a garden club area to grow plants, simple but effective play equipment, as well as movement and sound from an interactive, computer-controlled sound system.  Water shoots from a fountain to form an archway to play under and a lighting system with a built-in servo system to move plants also forms part of the garden.

This easy to maintain, active garden that is visually stimulating in a variety of colours and forms, lends itself to both education as well as eco-friendly needs.  This garden intends to lead the way, using modern technology, for the young to fully enjoy themselves in a safe environment.

Free Garden Design Pack

Due to the large and varying demands and budgets for such an important garden, Tim Lynch Associates is offering, for free, the layout and supportive information of the above garden. Please contact us and we will forward to you an A1 coloured copy and documentation.

This drawing could be used to raise money for your home, or provide you with a wide and diverse range of ideas to consider.

The garden is designed using the latest technology both above ground as well as below, to provide a young person’s garden with all-year-round interest, including nighttime as well as day.

This unique design, whilst using plants, limits them to key and important areas to maximise their effective use to create stimulus and interest.  By doing so, this limits the maintenance involved and helps to keep the garden more cost effective and easier to keep looking fresh and interesting all year round.

Whilst we have shown a rubber crumb surface for young people to play on, due to the safety aspect involved, this may prove too costly for some homes.  There are a number of other surfaces of a similar nature and by contacting us, we would be happy to advise you.

Tim Lynch Associates hopes that by using this free information, it will provide both parents and carers with new ideas and interesting information to make a garden less dependant on plants/sensory and more on a long term durable and exciting garden for not only today, but tomorrow and beyond.
